COVID-19 PROTOCOLS

 

Due to Coronavirus (COVID-19), Seven Palms is taking steps to help protect the safety of guests, staff, and owners. Certain services and amenities may be reduced or unavailable as a result.

Based on the Tourism & Hospitality Industry Standard Protocols Version 4 (13 July 2020), we have implemented the following protocols for the safety of our guests, staff, and ourselves:

Contactless Check-in / Check-out

  • Reservations and payments may be made online only and check-in/ check-out is contactless (making use of an online check-in form and a lock-box to access and return keys);
  • Guests are required to complete the online check-in form prior to access to gather required contact & health information;
  • Usual 14h00 check-in and 11h00 check-out times adjusted to 14h30 check-in and 10h30 check-out to accommodate additional sanitisation requirements (guests requests for early check-in or late check-out will gladly be accommodated on the day if the cottage is not otherwise booked);
  • Guests are required to inform the owners of Seven Palms post check-out should anyone in the party become COVID positive within 14 days of departure.

Physical Distancing

  • Guest access is limited to parking garage (for arrival and departing property), swimming pool area (excluding owners’ patio) and cottage;
  • Owners & staff will not access guest areas unless absolutely necessary (e.g. parking garage for arriving and departing the property, pool area to operate/maintain swimming pool, cottage to service guest needs on request);
  • Breakfast supplies have been suspended to help maintain a contactless stay at Seven Palms;
  • Guests, owners, and staff to maintain minimum physical distancing of at least 1.5 – 2 metres and to wear masks at all times (except for guests when inside the cottage).

Servicing & Sanitisation

  • Hand sanitiser provided inside entrance to property and in-room -guests, staff and owners to sanitise and/or wash hands frequently;
  • In addition to usual thorough cleaning procedures, additional sanitisation of surfaces from lock-box and keys to plug switches are undertaken & recorded when less than 72 hours transpire between guest check-out and check-in;
  • Weekly cleaning and linen change will be on request only and guests are requested to vacate the cottage for duration of cleaning service;
  • Certain items (e.g. games, books, iron, ironing board, Weber braai) have been removed from the cottage to accommodate reduced surface areas but are available on request.
